The younger brother of Alex ‘The Edge‘ Lanning, Mark Lanning was the youngest son of a prominent superhero couple. When the villain Static brutally murdered his father in 1998, The boys mother Ariel hung up her costume to ensure that her sons would be raised by a mother at least.

As the brothers grew up, The Edge wanted to do the best for his country, but Mark was convinced the government was the problem. He thought the hero school system was lame and a tool of ‘the man’. After all, if his forebears didn’t need it, why should he?

So Mark dropped out of high school at the age of 16 in 2008, got his GED and hit the Streets. His mission was to relieve and empower the common man to rise up and remake the government to serve the people. Sk8r works as an outlaw vigilante and occasional side kick to the Expositioner. He lives at home, helping his mom and easing her mind as much as he can, and works at the local Safeway.
